Join our Mission

Volunteers are the heartbeat of everything we do at Vets Helping Vets H.Q. While many of our dedicated volunteers are veterans themselves, many others are civilian supporters who share a profound respect and a strong sense of support for our military forces. We are always in need of passionate individuals to join our team.

Volunteering with the Wall of Honor takes on many different forms, offering meaningful ways to contribute whether you prefer hands-on teamwork or working behind the scenes.

If you enjoy being in the middle of the action, you can join us physically at our display sites to assist with setup, teardown, or serve as a docent to guide and support visitors. However, if you prefer to support our mission from the comfort of your own home, we also have a critical need for remote volunteers who can manage essential tasks electronically from a distance. We are looking for help in the following areas:

• Site Support: Assist with the physical setup and take down of The Wall of Honor.

• Docents: Guide visitors, answer questions, and provide a supportive presence during displays.

• Display Coordinator: Plan, schedule, and oversee various onsite display activities.

• Expansion Developer: Assist with the strategic development of the planned updated Wall of Honor.

• Gold Star Liaison: Build and maintain compassionate, dedicated relationships with Gold Star families.

• Sponsorship Coordinator: Connect local event hosts with potential donors, corporate sponsors, and community funding.

• Grant Writer: Research funding opportunities and draft proposals to secure financial support.

• Marketing & Growth Specialist: Identify and secure additional display opportunities for the Wall.

• Public Media Outreach: Draft press releases and manage relationships with local news and media outlets.

• Social Media Coordinator: Manage online platforms, create engaging content, and grow our digital community.
