  • All fallen service members of the Global War on Terrorism. It commemorates those who made the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel (OFS). Iraq based service members from Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), Operation New Dawn (OND) and Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR) are memorialized. Also included are service members from Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO) and Overseas Operations (OO). Most recently those serving during Operation Epic Furry (OEFU, Iran) are honored.

  • 7,073 service members are honored. The total number of casualties from the Global War on Terrorism. The exact number continues to grow as direct military operations continue

  • Individual military branches determine if a casualty is related to military duty through a formal administrative process known a a Line of Duty (LOD) determination. This data is aggregated and maintained by the Defense Casualty Analysis System (DCAS)

  • The Wall of Honor remembers all service members who lost their lives in the line of duty, encompassing both combat and non-combat casualties. This inclusive approach mirrors national monuments like the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Korean War Wall of Remembrance both on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

  • The current Wall of Honor is dedicated strictly to line of duty casualties. However, we deeply understand that many veterans pass away later in life due to physical and mental injuries sustained during service. Our updated Wall of Honor will address this by introducing a new section explicitly designed to honor these individuals and their sacrifices.

  • While many state specific memorials have been established we are only aware of two memorials that are dedicated to honoring all Global War on Terrorism service members lost in the line of duty. This includes the “Global War on Terrorism Memorial” (link) at Fort Monroe in Columbus, Georgia and the “Northwood Gratitude and Honor Memorial” (link) in Irvine, California.

    There is an incomplete traveling memorial hosted by Patriotic Productions. The couple in charge of this memorial receive significant compensation from its display.

  • Hosts are responsible for a display fee, which varies based on the geographic location of the event and how long you choose to showcase the exhibit. Additionally, the host location must provide room and board for our traveling volunteers. We encourage your organization to secure local sponsorships or contributions to help cover these costs and bring The Wall of Honor to your community.
