As you walk among the panels, The Wall of Honor provides a powerful space for remembrance, beautifully balancing the massive scale of service with the deeply personal faces and stories of individual sacrifice.
The Wall of Honor is a traveling memorial that recognizes and pays tribute to the brave service members who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the United States military. It stands as a solemn reminder of the profound cost of freedom, focusing on the vital importance of remembering those who selflessly answered the call of duty. Specifically dedicated to the heroes of the Global War on Terrorism, this traveling tribute ensures that citizens across the nation can honor the individuals who gave their lives in recent conflicts, keeping their legacies alive for future generations.
This moving tribute honors the more than 7,000 service members who lost their lives during the complex conflicts of the Global War on Terrorism. It commemorates those who made the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel (OFS). Iraq based service members from Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), Operation New Dawn (OND) and Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR) are memorialized. Also included are service members from Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO) and Overseas Operations (OO). Most recently those serving during Operation Epic Furry (OEFU, Iran) are honored.

Listed Chronologically: Names within each section are arranged by the specific date of the incident, rather than alphabetically by last name. This timeline layout ensures that comrades who fought together and fell in the same battle or mission remain side by side forever.
